Harris Middle School in the North East ISD was placed on lockdown this morning after bullets were found in a hallway at the school, according to a voice message left with parents by Principal Dr. Sean Maika.
"This morning, several bullets were found in a hallway on campus," Maika said. "While nothing else has been found, we have placed the campus in a lockdown as a precautionary mesagure in order to look for other prohibited items."
No visitors were allowed on campus during the lockdown, and no other potentuially dangerous items were found.
Classes were not interrupted.
